Celebrate 115 Years of Pike Place Market
Pike Place Market is full of excitement even on a random Tuesday afternoon, so you can only imagine the fun energy during the celebration of the market’s 115th anniversary: Sunset Supper. On Friday, August 19, vendors will come together to bring some of the region’s most delicious food, wine, beer, and cocktails to attendees. Dance the night away to live music as the sun sets and the city lights glimmer off of Elliott Bay.
The event is hosted by Pike Place Market Foundation, an organization guided by a mission to uphold its values of collaboration, inclusion, and respect. The foundation was established in 1982 in an effort to maintain the historic market, provide community services, and bolster the market by supporting vendors, citizens, patrons, and fund programs designed to enrich and improve the community we all know and love.
A general admission ticket will grant you access to the event and includes all food and drink—so arrive with your appetite. With 100 quality vendors participating, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Dig into some famous mac and cheese from Beecher’s, grab the quintessential Pike Place dish with a visit to Pike Place Chowder, or sample some goodness from The George if you haven’t yet had a chance to visit the Fairmont Olympic Hotel’s newest addition. Sip on a refreshing craft beer from Old Stove Brewing and end the night with a sweet treat from Macrina Bakery or The Confectional. View the full list of vendors on the event website to plan ahead. Sunset Supper is the perfect way to support our community and local businesses while treating yourself to a smorgasbord of cuisines and grooving to live music.
