We’ve undoubtedly hit that stretch of Seattle winter that has us dreaming of warmer days. Lately we’ve been thinking of the allure of second homes in markets without the cold, gray winter, whether it’s dipping our toes in the ocean or the promise of a sunny desert day—and we’re not the only ones. Second home ownership saw a boost in 2020, as remote workers looked for a change of scenery and savvy investors identified markets with relative home values, lower cost of living, and greater prospect for capital appreciation.
